FY26 Budget Prioritization Survey

FY26 Budget Prioritization Survey
The development of a Fiscal Year (FY) operating budget is a year-long process involving the Mayor, Town Council, Town Staff, and YOU. The budget plays a crucial role in providing various opportunities that contribute to effective governance, improved services, and overall community well-being.

We understand that the annual budgeting process can be complex, with decision-makers navigating through numerous variables and competing needs to serve our growing community. The budget allows town officials to prioritize essential services, infrastructure projects, and community programs based on the available financial resources to different departments and services. Challenges such as limited resources, the intricacies of service levels, evolving needs, infrastructure maintenance, and variable revenue sources like property taxes, grants, and fees all play a role in shaping the budget.

Despite these challenges, we see your input as a key factor in enhancing the services provided by the Town. Your perspective and insights contribute significantly to our understanding of the community’s priorities and help us make informed decisions. We truly appreciate your engagement and collaboration in this process.

Together, we are working towards a positive and impactful FY26 operating budget that aligns with the needs and aspirations of our community. Thank you for being an integral part of this important endeavor.
