WHEN: 6 p.m., Thursday, August 14
WHERE: (Town Square) Corner of Main and O’Neil Streets, Clayton, NC 27520

Clayton takes center stage as the Downtown Concert Series proudly presents a special Local’s Night, featuring three hometown acts the community won’t want to miss. This free outdoor concert takes place Thursday, August 14, in Town Square (at the corner of Main and O’Neil Streets), with live music from Wade Hill and the Revival, Van Meter, and Aaron Hamm & the Big River Band.
Wade Hill grew up in town, shaped by the sounds of Classic Country, Gospel, Southern Rock, and Classic Rock. Now, with his band Wade Hill and the Revival, he blends those influences into a soulful, high-energy sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh.
Van Meter, a well-known name in the local music scene, is no stranger to the Downtown Clayton stage. “There’s something about performing on a summer’s night for the Town,” said lead singer Jen Van Meter. “For us to share the bill with our buddies Wade and Aaron, it’s going to be a surefire good time.”
Rounding out the evening is Aaron Hamm & the Big River Band, a group of local boys turned regional favorites. Known for their bold, honky-tonk country style, they have taken their hometown spirit on the road but are always excited to bring it back home to Clayton.
Come early for fun activities starting at 6 p.m., and don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair to relax and enjoy the show. Music begins at 6:30 p.m., with food trucks serving delicious bites and adult beverages available for those looking to unwind. Kids can also enjoy interactive elements like a bounce house and photo booth, making it a fun evening for the whole family.
This concert series is made possible through the generous support of the Clayton Downtown Development Association and Brightspeed Fiber Internet, the Presenting Sponsor for the 2025 Downtown Concert Series. Additional support comes from The Clayton Center and Supporting Sponsors: Deep River Brewing Company, E & K Construction, My Propane Butler, Spinning Mill Lofts, and Universal Chevrolet.
