Johnston County Flags for Heroes Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Johnston County Flags for Heroes 2024 is returning for its 5th annual event to honor individuals in our community who have been inspirational or impactful.
More than 1,500 flags are expected to grace the fields of UNC Health Johnston – Clayton and Smithfield from Sunday, May 26 – Sunday, June 16. Visitors are welcome to walk through the rows, look, and reflect.
Each flag has a medallion that bears the name of a hero and their sponsor. Heros receiving recognition include veterans, active military members, first responders, frontline healthcare workers, family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
