Spooky Stories and Treats Haunt Clayton Library

On October 30, families gathered at the Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library for All Hallows Read: An Evening of Spooky Stories. The library transformed into a cozy, haunted space with eerie decorations and plenty of fall treats, creating the perfect atmosphere for ghostly tales. As each story unfolded, the spooky factor rose, and everyone enjoyed the buildup of chills, leaning in for every eerie twist and turn.

Designed for kids ages seven and up, this come-and-go event invited families to stay as long as they dared. The night wrapped up with everyone taking home a free spooky book to enjoy more thrills at home. It was a fun and frightful evening that set the stage for Halloween.
