Meet Us Monthly – Nicholas Rose
It’s the first Monday in April, and we’re excited to introduce Master Firefighter Nicholas Rose as this month’s #MeetUsMonthly feature. Rose has served the Clayton Fire Department for two years, bringing dedication, skill, and a strong sense of teamwork to every shift.
A native of the Clayton area, Rose has deep roots in the community. “My family is from here, and I wanted an opportunity to serve locally,” he says. He started his career in Greenville before joining the Clayton Fire Department and has continued expanding his certifications and expertise since coming on board.
Rose’s daily responsibilities include responding to emergencies, maintaining trucks and station equipment, and participating in ongoing training. “No two days are alike,” he explains. “Between calls and station duties, you have to stay alert and ready for anything.”
Collaboration is at the heart of Rose’s approach to firefighting. “Encouraging is the word I’d use to describe our team,” he says. “Everyone supports one another whether it’s learning new skills or stepping in to help when needed. That kind of environment makes the job truly rewarding.”
Outside of the station, Rose enjoys spending time with his wife and their almost one-year-old, exploring Downtown Clayton or grabbing a meal at La Cocina, one of their favorite local spots.
We’re proud to have Rose on the Clayton Fire Department team and look forward to seeing the contributions he continues to make for both the department and our community.
